Mr. Perry, a very good friend of mine on January 19, 2012 gave me this letter that you are about to read below.  While at a basketball game with his wife watching their grandson.  Mr. Perry called me over and while shaking my hand looked me in the eyes, handed me this letter and just stated "THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE WITH AND FOR MY GRANDSON".  I was a little caught off guard at first because I no longer coach his grandsons school team anymore.  I admire Mr. Perry very much and we have come to develope a great relationship stemming from my coaching his grandson.  Needless to say when I opened the letter later that night after my teams loss to HSAA, my heart was very much moved by this letter:

"Once upon a time millions of little shell fish had washed up on shore.  A little boy, knowing that when it got hot the fish would die.  He began throwing the fish back into the ocean one at a time.  A man came along and asked the little boy what he was doing.  The Boy said, "I'm throwing these fish back into the ocean because the hot sun will kill them".  The man stated, "there are millions of these shell fish, how can you possibly make a difference?"

The little boy picked a shell fish up and threw it back into the ocean and said, "IT MADE A DIFFERENCE FOR THAT ONE."

At the end of the letter Mr. Perry simply wrote "get ur done!"

The night before we ran into each other while I was on my way back to my office after a practice and he was at his grandsons practice.  We had a conversation about my finishing up my degree.  To think that this man took the time out of his day to write these words of encouragement to me touched my heart!  Thank you Mr. Perry!!!!!
