Coach Destanie Sykes is one of the original players that started Team Ichiban. Coach Sykes was a 4 year letter winner at Duncanville High School and a starter on the State Championship team in 2003 and graduated top 10% in her class 2003. Coach Sykes received a full ride to Oklahoma State University were she was a 4 year letter winner. Coach Sykes graduated top 40 in Sr. Class and is a 2007 Alumni. Coach Sykes currently is a 7th grade reading teacher and coaches the 7th & 8th grade teams in the Duncanville School District at Byrd Middle School.
